Gig 'Em

Saturday morning DH and I got up before the crack of dawn to head down to College Station. S#5 was suckered bribed generously offered to be me for the day. She came over at 5:30, took kids to soccer at 8, golf at 9, volleyball games at 11 & 12, soccer and dance at 2 with lots and lots of driving in between. Thank heavens for sisters.

We left early and scored a good parking spot behind North Gate. Our friends from Houston arrived 20 minutes later. After enjoying a beverage or two in the parking lot, we headed to the game.

The first quarter and most of the second quarter were a good for A&M. Unfortunately, LSU caught a huge pass at the end of the 1st half and the momentum seemed to turn. LSU ended up on top. Poor DH, Happy Courtney.

We headed back toward the cars, lucked into a short line at Freebirds, grabbed some water and diet coke from the car and headed to a tailgate party. They had a tv and were gracious enough to turn to the ND game for me. It was 14-7 with ND losing (Oh NO!) when we arrived. I got to see the field goal and the go ahead touchdown, so I got to see the good parts. We left before the game was over to head back home. Luckily we held the lead and won.

After a quick 3 hour drive, we arrived home to happy children and one tired sister. It was a fun day and I'm glad we were able to fit in our busy schedule.
