I has out for almost a week with a oh so awful stomach virus/flu nastiness. Unfortunately DH's grandfather died and he had to go to Missouri for the funeral. I managed to crawl out of bed and drive kids to school. S#5 brought dinner and helped feed the kids for me. We all survived, even if it didn't feel like I would make it for a day or so.
So now that Mom is well and life is back to normal, we're getting into the swing of things. Yesterday DH pointed out that 2/3 of a sweater for A has been sitting on our floor for over a month. When I blocked the pieces, I realized that I had knit the left front wrong and I just left it. The guilt of the mess on the floor bothering DH made me pick it back up and start to finish it. It is going well so far.
It is derby car time again. DH is helping all three kids put together cars this year. They have been busy painting and weighing and re-weighing. Tomorrow they are going to the boy scout museum to test them on an official track.
It is Girl Scout Cookie time. We haven't actually gone out selling cookies yet. I have a feeling I'll be busy canvassing the neighborhood tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, I've pulled the rest of girl scout cookies from last year out the freezer. Kids have been enjoying dessert after dinner. We have to finish them off before the next load comes in.
